We sat down with Lois Fried, Managing Partner of Urban Atlantic, to hear about what they look for in a financial partner. It’s no surprise we’ve had the pleasure of working with them for over 25 years.
EagleBank: So, tell us a little about Urban Atlantic.
Lois Fried: Urban Atlantic is a community-minded real estate development and investment company, focused on building sustainable and inclusive communities. We're able to do that not only through our investments, but through creative financing techniques that help provide living wage jobs and affordable housing for people at all income ranges. Most of all, it helps us provide a place they can live, work, play, and be proud of.
EagleBank: When did your relationship with EagleBank begin?
LF: Well, EagleBank and Urban Atlantic grew up together. We were both founded in 1998, and ever since then, we’ve had a fruitful relationship with EagleBank as our financial partner.

EagleBank: How has that relationship grown?
LF: I think our companies have a similar philosophy and belief in the importance of customer service relationships. That’s why we work so well together.
EagleBank: What's it like working with EagleBank versus a large national financier?
LF: What’s special about EagleBank is that they really know their customers, but they also know how the market can work best for those customers. That aspect has been key to helping us develop our own business.
EagleBank: What do you value most in your partnership with EagleBank?
LF: I value what they’re able to provide in services - always focused on delivering the right solution at the right time for every client. In our case, we’re a client through their cash management platform, lending, real estate, and corporate. They’ve really been able to bring those unique opportunities on both sides of the platform.
